18 Sep

Working in the promotional modeling industry can be rough if you do not plan ahead or have the right mind-set. In fact, you can become a complete stress case, rushing around, trying to prepare everything at the last minute. Promotional models or any talent in general, may experience the struggle of working at a show or event for long grueling hours, several days in a row. It can be absolutely draining! Not only does this cause mental stress, but physical stress as well. Learn how to stay stress free in the promotional modeling industry and rejuvenate your body at the same time. Follow these easy tips provided by Castango and make the best out of your experience in the trade show and event industry.

The very first tip is to drink plenty of water leading up to an event. Real Water, which is alkalized with positive ions, keeps your PH balanced in your body. This is going to start the detoxing process and give you the energy boost you will need for your show. In the morning, before you eat anything, drink an 8oz glass of warm water with 1 squeezed lemon. This will boost your metabolism and cleanse your body. Always remember; “you are what you eat” so fill up on these 5 power foods throughout the day:

  1. Avocado
  2. Salmon
  3. Almonds
  4. Dark Berries
  5. Green Tea

Not only will these 5 foods keep you in good shape, they will boost your energy level the healthy way. We all turn to coffee when we feel exhausted, but by nourishing your body with the right foods you may not need caffeine anymore. Not to mention, coffee shops get pricey after a while.

Plan ahead! Prepare for your day the night before is vital. Doing so will allow you to take your time to get ready in the morning instead of rushing to pick out what to wear, which can cause unnecessary anxiety. The evening before you have to work an event have your clothes set out, pressed and ready for action. Set all of your essentials for the day by the door so you are certain you will not forget anything. Refrain from going out or making plans. Turn on my favorite music, light candles, and get prepared for the new and exciting experience ahead. By doing this you will go to bed at ease, early enough, knowing everything that you need is already taken care of. All you will have to focus on in the morning is getting ready. Remember, always begin your day on a positive note.

Meditate, meditate, meditate! Staying grounded is crucial when you work in such a high energy industry. Wake up an hour earlier than normal and work out or do yoga to start your day feeling energized, calm, and refreshed. Many people are not a fan of waking up early, but try it a few times and see the difference it makes with your attitude. Thankfully you have prepared the night before so you can to take an extra 10 minutes to breathe and reflect on the day ahead. Imagine yourself impressing your employer, looking exceptional, feeling extraordinary, and networking with companies to help further your career. What you believe is what you achieve. Visualize your day being successful and it will be!

Decompressing is the last step after putting your all into the event you’ve just worked. Standing on your feet all day long can cause physical aches and pains so get an adjustment at a chiropractor or treat yourself to a massage. You deserve to be pampered. Purifying your mind body and soul is going to make you feel on top of the world! This will keep your mind in a positive place to start searching for your next adventure in the trade show and event industry.
